Electrical Troubleshooting

Troubleshooting

When one of our licensed technicians is called out to your property to troubleshoot an electrical issue, like an outlet not working properly, a light flickering or possibly a breaker that won't reset. We have a process and a tool kit that allows us to find the basic issues to the complex ones fast and accurately.

1  —

Your home’s electrical system is complex, featuring a number of parts that are designed to distribute power throughout your home safely.

2  —

Unfortunately, that complexity also means that there are several places where your system can experience problems. Unfortunately most places where issues happen are in walls or behind receptacles. It is always best to have a trusted licensed electrician determine the cause or your issue.

At Bowman Electric, our licensed electricians are experts in electrical troubleshooting. You, and your families safety is always our number one priority. When troubleshooting we will diagnose and fix all of your electrical problems. We always look for the cause of the problem and make sure it is safer than when you called us.

How Electrical Troubleshooting Works?

When you contact Bowman Electric for electrical troubleshooting, our technician will arrive at your home on time and ready to get to work on fixing your electrical system. The electrical troubleshooting process starts with the technician talking to you about the problems you’ve been experiencing, trying to get as much information as possible. The more details you have, the more effective the electrical troubleshooting process will be.

Once our technician has this information, they’ll take a look at your electrical system. From there, they’ll work backward towards what they think might be the underlying issue that’s causing your problem, taking note of any damage or other potential issues that they observe.

At this point, your technician will determine what they think is the most likely cause of your problem. Among the most common issues we see are:

Frayed or damaged wiring

Outdated electrical equipment

Poor quality DIY work

Loose connections

Once they’ve identified the issue, you and the technician can discuss repair options. Once you agree on a path forward, your technician will perform the agreed upon repair and test it to make sure that the issue is fully fixed. If not, they’ll continue to look for the source of the problem.

Our technicians are committed to finding answers to your electrical problems. Because the electricians at Bowman Electric are experienced, the electrical troubleshooting process typically goes quickly. However, when we do encounter complex cases, you can rest assured that we won’t stop until we solve your problem completely.
